It was a busy weekend at Supanova! Thanks to everyone who stopped by my stall and I especially liked hearing the stories of where Tall Rabbit products have got to! There were some great costumes out there and I hear the Weasley twins were hot and the Hoff was radiant! Here are some stalker photos taken from behind my stall :)
Outdoor markets in the summer are not so fun. Hot, sweaty, melty and burny - urrghh! So what do you do? Have them at night time! Away from the burning glare of our overenthusiastic summer sun, under the glow of the soothing moon... yes, it's time for the creatures of the night to come out and play! And shop!
If you have seen a Big W catalogue recently, you may have noticed a very cute and dapper Easter bunny. I wish I had drawn it but it is the work of Melbourne illustrator, Melanie Matthews. You can read about Melanie and her Big W Easter bunny (she calls him "the posh bunny") here. My favourite quote from the interview is this, "it was a super fun project and the kind of thing where you have to pinch yourself – today, my job is to draw cute Easter bunnies! How good is that? I am truly living the dream." I think she is living my dream too!
Hello! I'm back! I'll be doing my first market for the year this weekend at the Laneway Night Markets, part of the Perth Fringe Festival. I'll be sharing a stall with Osmosis and Anna Hadwin Crochet Toys. Our spot is right on the end of Lock Lane, on the James St cul de sac and we'll be there from 4 - 10pm on Saturday and Sunday! It sounds like there will be lots of interesting things going on to do with the festival and I'd be going even if I didn't have a stall! I hope to see you there, celebrating the Australia Day long weekend the cool way.
It's not long til our 6th Montage shop closes so make sure you get into the Woolstores shopping centre to see our latest home! Open every day til 5pm.
I've had monsters on the brain recently. Fortunately they were cute monsters! I immortalised this crafty cake decorating critter in an illustration for the Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School Monster Craft Fair & Open Day poster, designed by the talented Bronwyn Rogers. Now there can be monster parties every day! Yay!
