Tickle the Imagination magazine is a great publication that comes out of Western Australia and is devoted to creativity, in particular handmade, craft and design. The latest issue, number 20, had a feature on llamas and alpacas which included my alpaca necklaces! It also has lots of other interesting and creative things inside and I recommend checking it out!

Uppercase lowdown
One of my favourite magazines is Uppercase from Canada and I was very excited to find out that the creator/designer/editor, Janine Vangool was coming to the Perth Writers Festival! She was on a few panels speaking about magazines with people from Dumbo Feather, Kinfolk, Smith Journal and Alphabet Family Journal. I was impressed to hear how she can produce a whole magazine by herself every few months and still have time to spend with her family and to sleep! After the talks, I got to meet her and she is a very nice lady :) She even wrote a lovely message in my copy of the latest Uppercase. Such a happy fangirl moment!

Tall Rabbit's Melbourne Adventures
I've just come back from a whirlwind trip to Melbourne and boy did I pack a lot in! I went to markets, met some lovely crafters, went to a conference, visited galleries, got some supplies, ate yummy food, caught trams, got some cool new magazines, saw gogo dancing nerds on vacation, partied in the National Gallery of Victoria, found some very cute goodies, visited the Etsy Showroom and even managed to fit in some sleep! I've got so much to report back on so check back soon!

Peppermint Print
Tall Rabbit is in print! As seen in the Autumn 2012 edition of Peppermint Magazine!
I took the plunge into magazine advertising along with ten other Western Australian Etsy sellers and it sure smells good! I really like the smell of the uncoated paper the magazine is printed on. Mmm, fresh magazine...
Anyway, the aim of the ad is to promote WA sellers on Etsy - there are hundreds of us! And we want everyone else to find out how good we are and buy lots of things from our shops so we can keep on making more things forever and ever! Yay!

My new favourite magazine!
On my recent trip to Melbourne, I came across Uppercase magazine and I love it! It is for "the creative and curious" and it's all the way from Canada. Starting from the exquisite cover by Matte Stephens through to the very last superbly designed page, there is something interesting! It covers illustration, design, craft, textiles, books, films and so much more! Unfortunately, there is only one stockist in the whole of the country so who knows when I will get my next copy. Until then, I can clutch at my precious edition of issue 5 and sigh over its brilliance.
